At the invitation of the President of Czech Olomouc Region,
eng. Jan Brezina, delegation of AP Vojvodina, headed by the
Vice-president of the Executive Council of AP Vojvodina, Petar
Mišić, paid a two-day official visit to this region on 11th
and 12th December 2003.
This visit also included a meeting of members
of Coordinating Board for Cooperation between AP Vojvodina and
Olomouc Region. The Coordinating Board has 7 representatives
for every region, whose responsibilities concern supporting
mutual cooperation and developing activities in area of economic
and regional development, entrepreneurship, tourism, culture
and art, science and technological development, youth, sport,
health and social security and joint participation at exhibitions
and fairs. The results of these meetings and talks between members
of the Coordinating Board for Cooperation between these two
regions, are concrete proposals for cooperation.
As a part of this visit, delegation of AP Vojvodina attended
a presentation of dr Vaclav Riznar, member of Regional government,
Olomouc, responsible for health and social policy, on organisation
and work of newly-founded modern surgery hospital, from the
aspect of Czech experience in transition process in area of
health care. They also visited private factory “Wisconsin”
in the city of Prostejov, which produces small tractors and
attaching devices, suitable for maintenance of city parks
and certain municipal services.
This visit resulted in an initiative for opening branches
of this company in Novi Sad for the territory of the Republic
of Serbia and establishing production cooperation with one
company from Vojvodina in area of metallurgy complex, as well
as the initiative for establishing cooperation between schools
of mechanical engineering from Prostejov and AP Vojvodina.
