Since EU has designated Gratz to be a city of sustainable development, as well as the whole Styria Province, the topic of ecology was the most predominant one. Projects named »Ecoprofit« and »Thermoprofit« that are being realised by some Styrian companies, make possible to gain some important profit (in Styria, 65% of waste is being recycled).
They announced some presentations of these projects in Novi Sad, when etrepreneurs and all interested people will be introduced to possibilities and ways of energy save, especially in industry and small economy, as well as in enterprises that deal with waste recycling in our local areas.

During the meeting of the rector of the University of Novi Sad and representative of the University of Gratz, they reached an agreement to organise a Business School at the University of Novi Sad, as a part of IBSS Center (International Business School Styria - Vojvodina), which is envisaged by the Memorandum as a way of transfering expert knowledge from the EU countries and establishing project partnership with other West Europe universities and institutions. This Business School will educate in areas of development, realisation and utilisation of projects, that is project management.

During the talks at the round table, representatives of the Chambre of Commerce of Vojvodina identified together the interests for cooperation in areas of economic relations with representatives of the Chambre of Commerce of Styria, especially in the food processing, chemical and textile industry. On our part, we expressed our interest in import of raw materials necessary for metal and chemical industry, while on their part, they expressed willingness to help us in import and export issues in cooperation with EU countries through Styria.
There were also visit and presentation organised to consortium of 5 companies from Styria, which offered construction services and complete mechanical and electronic equipment in areas of collecting and cleansingof industrial waters and effluents, recycling of mud and utilisation of granules for energy and other purposes, as well as construction of facilities for drinking water supply.
Complete visit, initiated by the government of Styria, was organised by »Bluewaters« company which is willing to give full financial support for feasibility study for quality water supply in Vojvodina. If local self-governments provide financial resources for greater part, this Austrian company will finance 25% of investments through various credits.
